Upcycled Coasters

Today’s project was to upcycle these coaster sets I purchased at a thrift store last year. They’ve been hanging around long enough! It was time to make them pretty.

The black and gold coasters are made using a wallpaper sample. I added gold dots around the images and aged it with stamping inks.

The rest are made with various scrapbook paper I have here in my craft room. The script and egg paper has gold and bronze accents added to it as well as aging done with ink.

The blue swirly paper is from England. I’m so glad I finally got to use this paper! It was already very pretty, but I added some silver and blue ink around the edges (Aegean Sea was the name of the blue – isn’t that lovely?) and some blue sparkle along the lines.

The blue paisley paper also got some blue inked edges and blue sparkle accent dots. I really do love sparkles.

All were top-coated with a sealant, although wiping lightly with a damp cloth to clean is still recommended.
